It's hard to believe, but for the first time ever, I was able to try something that I've wanted to do since I first started this radio show. I recorded this episode outside. And what better time of the year than on the very first day of Autumn? As a result, you may notice that the talk breaks sound just a bit different, but the overall effect of the wind, the night and the chill in the air was great.

The main part of the show begins with a themed group of songs to welcome the onset of Autumn, as it is the most wonderful time of the year (regardless of how that one song goes). My next goal will be to record a show while outside in a snowstorm...

This Sunday night in Nashville, Bella Morte, The Ludovico Technique, and Cryogen Second will be playing at The Rutledge. In honor of this, all three bands are featured in a special set, which includes a brand new track from Bella Morte's latest album, Before the Flood. For those who aren't in Nashville (and that's plenty of you), the rest of their tour dates can be seen here. Go see them and tell them I sent you.

In that same set you'll hear brand new music from Ladytron. They will be the subject of a Bonus CD Release party at the Bella Morte show. We'll have posters and copies of their brand new CD Gravity the Seducer to give away that night. And if you need one more reason to attend, I'll be the live DJ before, between, and after the bands. Maybe I will see you there?

Also new to the show this week: Music from German/Norwegian hybrid, Thornfields, a collaboration between Ghostfog and Liquid Grey, whose newly released album is entitled The Desert. We also delve a bit deeper into the latest releases from Diary of Dreams and God Module.

On the heavier end of the spectrum, you'll hear music from Thrall's latest CD, Vermin to the Earth, and a 16-minute opus from the new Rwake (pronounced "wake") album, Rest, which will soon be released on Relapse Records.

All of the above, plus: Classic goth, industrial, and deathrock, one of my favorite opening songs of all time, and a spotlight on next week's Nashville appearance of Opeth and Katatonia, at the Cannery on September 28th. Check out these dates to see if they'll be hitting your town.
