This episode begins with a new B-side from London's Ulterior. "Arabella" was given away as a bonus track to those who helped launch the new album through the band's PledgeMusic drive. Unlike a lot of extras and bonus tracks, it's every bit as good as the material found on the band's new album, The Bleach Room.

Two seemingly unrelated pieces came together to inspire my next move, which was a dip backwards into the folk realms of the 1960s. It's not an area I often travel to on this show, but with legendary psychdelic '60s band The Zombies playing in my town next week, my head has been soaked in such sounds a lot as of late. Then, along came the desire to share some of the Simon-and-Garfunkel-esque, more contemporary sounds of In Gowan Ring, and a pairing was born. Kicking the first set off this way may be a curve-ball for some, but never fear. It gets traditional from that point on.

Speaking of traditional sounds, for those in search of new, yet traditional, gothic rock sounds, Baltimore's The Drowning Season may help fill that void. The band's new EP, Tomorrow's Gone features a heavy dose of 'Nephilim and Sisters' influence, and it's available for your inspection on their Bandcamp site, here.

This weekend in Nashville, we gather to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our longest-running Gothic/Industrial night, +SALVATION+, where I've been DJing for most of those years. As I prepared for the event, poring over music choices and tons of old photos, I decided to do a musical retrospective, highlighting the music that was played in the clubs, and on this show, ten years ago. Listen for two sets based in 2003, the first focusing on goth, post-punk, and darkwave, and the second on electro-goth, industrial, and (Terror)EBM.

Speaking of 10 year anniversaries, God Module's Empath album, their second release, turns 10 this year as well. In honor of that, the band has reissued the album with a newly revamped  bonus track that you'll hear on this episode. They're also mounting a tour in honor of that anniversary. See the dates here.

All of that, plus: Two new & different faces of the current doom scene, a track deeper into the new album from The Twilight Garden, obscure film score music rescued from a crackled print, another historically great band with a profoundly confusing name, and more...
